Default Who's considered the hardest boss in GW

I've always wanted to know as I would like to face him. Is it Dhuum?

I guess it depends on two things:

1. What is your definition of a 'hard' boss?
2. How prepared for the boss battle would you come?

The first meaning: a hard boss is what, a boss that takes a very long time to kill due to having massive HP, a boss that hits very hard, etc?

The second meaning: some bosses require certain (team)builds to beat. If you don't take those builds, the bosses become impossible to beat.

A boss is only really hard if you are unprepared for the fight. In which case the hardest boss for an unprepared team would be in my opinion either Mallyx or Kanaxai.

With the high lvl of degen and spawing nightmares i would go for Kanaxai of those two.

Dhuum is not really hard just kinda long, getting to Dhuum is harder than fighting him.

thats what i said... bosses are only hard if unprepared. Dhuum on the other hand is not hard in the slightest.

It depends for who its hard.. upon all sc teams ( i didnt rly try it ) , i guess Dhuum and mallyx aren't very hard ....
Anyway , not about the boss , but i think Vloxen Excavation HM is very hard , thus i'll say that Zoldark in HM is hard , because getting to him is already quite dificult ..

i'd say kanaxai if you don't use the knockdown trick those nightmares would be a pain and therefore very hard boss.

Vloxen isn't hard IF someone remembers to bring Frozen Soil, Slavers exile is arguably more difficult, as for Zoldark himself... you don't even need to hit him, just pull his minions from afar, wave after wave.

I guess no boss is particularly difficult in and of itself, assuming one is prepared for the fight... Kanaxai goes down in seconds to the right team build, but he's awesomely brutal to a random pug who isn't prepared. Oh, good old Rotscale seems to cause people a lot of problems too, judging by the amount of people who need help with that vanquish...

Personally I think the ele, derv and rit bosses with hard hitting AoEs are some of the worst, sure you can kill them with a single well timed Pain Inverter, but they just eat up the heroes/henchies who love to clump together, not to mention spirits and minions... I love seeing Bohdalz the Furious wipe half the party with a single Spirit Rift.

I'd have to say that if you were to be encountering all of these bosses for the first time with no prior knowledge or way to prepare, that Kanaxai would be the most difficult because unless you have a KD, he can't be defeated (unless you have a lot of health stealing skills I guess).

Instead of just naming bosses in elite areas, let's get some other names.

My vote would go for
Proph-Rotscale
Factions-Can't really say I've ran into any difficult ones here, but maybe some ele Rockhide/Saltspray Dragon boss.
Nightfall-Droajam, Mage of the Sands probably.
EotN-Joffs The Mitigator.

What about Glint on HM? Never tried her on HM, but NM she was a pain in the ass 5 years ago.

As you can see from the responses, different people have their own idea of who's hardest and in a sense their is no single "hardest". However, this will give you an idea of the "top 10" so to speak.
I can't think of who I would consider hardest, but at least most of the top 10 do require some preparation.

Five years ago there was no Pain Inverter, etc., PvE only skills. So it depends somewhat upon where abouts in the game you are. If you're going through it for the first time, Glint's hard. But if you have the PvE skills, none of those older bosses are much problem.
I'd be curious to see how Kanaxai would fair against an "unprepared", but PvE-only using party. (It's been a long time since I've done The Deep)

ya could go for unprepared but if you have any interrupt in your entire group she will be easy.

also I think it would be best to not include elite area bosses nor end game bosses but only bosses with the aura that you can cap skills from (maby dungeon bosses) might make it easier to find a hard boss

I would say the hardest boss I have ever come by is Rotscale. Even if he isn't considered a boss it's still hard as hell to kill him.

Rotscale versus Plague Touch... here, have your 20 second dazed back. Makes it an easy fight with a hero and hench team.

Glint can be soloed by a spirit spammer And if you too lazy to do it yourself, a necro hero with Spoil Victor and Signet of Sorrow (sacrifice one hero or henchie) can rip her to pieces very quickly assuming you have some interrupts on another hero. The talk page on wiki is full of people who have killed with all henchman teams, often with no interrupts.

Fendi Nin and his mobs of respawning Damned Crewmen?

Joffs? Really?
For me, if I had to name some EotN boss outside dungeons I'd rather say Borrguus Blisterbark.
But everything is subjective, everyone find difficulties in different bosses.

If you don't use a little trick to make things easier on yourself, Fendi Ninn is very annoying.
Kanaxai is only really annoying for the constant degen and popups, but with 12 people and a large number of humans, it's fairly easy to spike him down quickly. Urgoz takes a bit more time and it's easy to get yourself killed, but the strategy is easy enough.
Similar thing for Dhuum; if you rush too much and try to convert too many people to spirits it's easy to wipe and fail.
